About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Client Accountant or Property Accountant looking to join a reputable organisation where they can further develop their career within the property sector. Working closely with Property Managers and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in managing client finances, preparing service charge accounts and ensuring accurate financial reporting across a varied portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of client properties.
- Produce service charge accounts and year-end reconciliations.
- Prepare and review service charge budgets and balancing charges.
- Carry out bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Prepare quarterly client reporting packs and financial statements.
- Process journals, accruals and prepayments where required.
- Review lease information and ensure tenant charges are correctly applied.
- Prepare VAT returns and support year-end audit requirements.
- Liaise with Property Managers, clients, tenants and auditors to resolve financial queries.
- Maintain accurate client account records using property accounting software.
- Assist with process improvements and support the wider finance team when required.
Person Specification
- Previous experience working as a Client Accountant, Property Accountant or within a similar property finance role.
- Experience preparing service charge accounts and client reporting.
- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
- Good understanding of accruals, prepayments and journals.
- Experience preparing budgets and year-end accounts would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
- Experience using MRI Qube, MRI Horizon, Yardi or similar property management software would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
