Construction Manager

This position suits a hands-on Construction Manager who is confident leading site teams, managing multiple work packages and maintaining strong control of health and safety, quality and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage construction activities on site, ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently
Plan, organise and coordinate site operations in line with project programmes
Supervise subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements
Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements
Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, site instructions and inspections
Drive quality standards on site, proactively addressing any non-conforming works
Monitor progress against programme and contribute to short-term planning and reviews
Liaise with clients, end users and stakeholders, resolving issues and maintaining positive working relationships
Lead, motivate and develop site teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability

About You

Proven experience in a Construction Manager role within building or construction projects
Strong understanding of site management, construction processes and sequencing
Confident managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades
Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
Strong leadership and communication skills
Able to take ownership of site delivery and make informed decisions

Additional Information

This role is expected to involve significant business travel. A company car or car allowance will be provided in line with company policy.
