About the Role
The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager to join a busy Building division, working on projects across Norfolk. The role will involve managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
This position suits a hands-on Construction Manager who is confident leading site teams, managing multiple work packages and maintaining strong control of health and safety, quality and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction activities on site, ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently
- Plan, organise and coordinate site operations in line with project programmes
- Supervise subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements
- Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements
- Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, site instructions and inspections
- Drive quality standards on site, proactively addressing any non-conforming works
- Monitor progress against programme and contribute to short-term planning and reviews
- Liaise with clients, end users and stakeholders, resolving issues and maintaining positive working relationships
- Lead, motivate and develop site teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability
About You
- Proven experience in a Construction Manager role within building or construction projects
- Strong understanding of site management, construction processes and sequencing
- Confident managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades
- Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to take ownership of site delivery and make informed decisions
Additional Information
This role is expected to involve significant business travel. A company car or car allowance will be provided in line with company policy.
