About the Role

Construction/Project Manager

Cobalt is working with a prestigious property investment and development company renowned for its hands-on approach to delivering high-profile projects across London. This organisation has built a strong reputation through a unique self-delivery model that fosters collaboration, innovation, and quality control from concept through to completion. They offer a dynamic environment where your input truly shapes the built environment, and you'll be part of a close-knit, driven team that values site-based delivery experience and design excellence.

The Role

You will play a critical role in the successful delivery of construction and development projects, leading initiatives from early-stage planning through to handover. Reporting directly to the Head of Projects, this role offers the opportunity to work across a range of mixed-use and commercial schemes, with real ownership and influence on every phase of the project lifecycle. You must be within a 45-minute commute of the Hammersmith/Fulham area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading day-to-day management of high-quality development and refurbishment projects.
  • Creating and implementing bespoke construction strategies tailored to a direct delivery model.
  • Establishing and maintaining detailed project programmes and overseeing timely delivery.
  • Working closely with the commercial team to manage budgets and track cost performance.
  • Coordinating with consultants and external design teams to align with technical and planning requirements.
  • Attending site regularly to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure design fidelity and build quality.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Working knowledge of delivering construction or development projects in a client-side or contractor capacity.
  • Strong site experience within a self-build or direct delivery environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with London planning regulations, construction standards, and delivery practices.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple moving parts and timelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills and confidence in leading external teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across design, commercial and construction disciplines.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience in a developer or self-delivery setting.
  • Understanding of sustainability principles and modern construction methods.
  • Degree qualified in project management, construction, architecture, or engineering.
  • Professional accreditation (RICS, APM, CIOB) is a plus.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility within a high-performing team and contribute to projects that shape London's skyline. Interviews are already underway - apply now before it's too late.

Please note: Due to the volume of applications received, if you don't hear back from us, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
