About the Role
A well-established consulting agency is seeking a talented Ecologist to join their growing team in the northwest. This is an excellent opportunity for career growth within an award-winning, employee-owned company, where you'll contribute to a variety of exciting ecological projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments, including the preparation of BNG plans for planning applications.
- Carry out a range of ecological surveys (Phase 1 Habitat, Ecological Impact Assessments, etc.).
- Manage and coordinate specialist survey teams nationwide.
- Oversee the acquisition of biodiversity credits and units as part of offsetting schemes.
- Prepare ecological reports for planning applications and help discharge planning conditions.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven expertise in BNG assessments and ecological surveys, including Natural England licence applications.
- Experience in coordinating ecological survey teams across various locations.
- Strong report writing skills for planning submissions and compliance.
- Full driving licence with the ability to travel when necessary.
