About the Role
We have partnered with a leading UK-based property consultancy, looking to appoint a Senior Land Referencer to join their expanding infrastructure division in Birmingham.
This role offers the chance to work on nationally significant infrastructure schemes, alongside a highly experienced team delivering across the transport, energy, and utilities sectors. With consistent project wins and a clear growth strategy, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced land referencing professional to take the next step in their career in a collaborative, progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Geo-referencing and digitising features from CAD/paper plans into GIS platforms (preferably ArcGIS)
- Desktop and contact referencing of affected landowners and stakeholders
- Managing, interpreting, and maintaining accurate land and property data
- Producing legal documentation including books of reference, order plans, notices, and schedules
- Conducting site visits for notice posting and landowner engagement
- Managing client expectations and supporting junior colleagues on project tasks
- Assisting with invoicing, resourcing, and stakeholder communications
- Attending internal and client-facing meetings as required
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Relevant degree (e.g. Geography, Planning) or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience in land referencing and statutory document preparation
- Proficient in GIS, ideally ArcGIS
- Understanding of compulsory purchase legislation (e.g. Planning Act, TWAO, CPO)
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as needed
