Site Manager

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the delivery of an NHS MRI Unit Fit-Out project in Southend-on-Sea.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on Site Manager with experience delivering healthcare, medical, or highly regulated fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of site activities and subcontractors
• Ensuring health & safety compliance across the project
• Coordinating trades and managing project programmes
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and progress meetings
• Liaising with the client, consultants, and project stakeholders
• Managing quality control and site documentation
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with NHS and project requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering fit-out projects
• Previous healthcare, NHS, MRI, CT, or clinical environment experience desirable
• Valid SMSTS
• Valid CSCS Card
• Current First Aid at Work Certificate
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage programmes and subcontractors effectively
