Freelance Site Manager - Education Refurbishment Projects

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Managers to oversee a programme of education refurbishment projects across Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on Site Manager with a strong background in refurbishment and fit-out projects within occupied or live educational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of site operations, subcontractors, and site logistics.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintaining health & safety compliance.
• Liaising with clients, school representatives, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Managing site documentation, RAMS, permits, and progress reporting.
• Coordinating trades and resolving site issues efficiently to maintain project momentum.

Essential Requirements

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work Certificate
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (current and valid)
• Proven experience managing refurbishment projects within education or public sector environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
