Surveyor - Senior Surveyor, Residential Investment

Cobalt is working with a leading UK property consultancy that is looking to appoint a Chartered Surveyor to join its growing Residential Valuation team in London.

The business is continuing to invest in and expand its residential valuation offering, making this an excellent opportunity to join an established team at an exciting stage of its growth.

The team provides valuation and advisory services across a diverse range of residential property, including individual high-value assets, residential investments, development sites, large-scale development schemes and diversified portfolios throughout London and the Southeast.

The Role

You will work closely with experienced senior valuers while taking responsibility for a varied range of residential valuation instructions.

Your work will include:

• RICS Red Book valuations and market appraisals.
• Valuations primarily for secured lending / loan security purposes.
• Residential investment and portfolio valuations.
• High-value individual residential assets.
• PRS and income-producing residential investments.
• Residential development sites and larger development schemes, PBSA
• Development and strategic consultancy advice.
• Working directly with a broad range of institutional, banking, investor and property clients.
• Preparing detailed valuation reports and providing clear, commercially focused advice.
• Supporting the continued growth of the Residential Valuation team.

The team works across a broad and varied range of residential valuation and consultancy instructions, including:

• Prime and high-value residential property across London.
• Large residential investment and mixed-use portfolios across London and the South East.
• PRS and Build-to-Rent investment schemes.
• Residential development sites and major development projects.
• Strategic and development consultancy on large-scale residential schemes.
• Valuation advice on income-producing residential investments.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be MRICS qualified, ideally with up to two years' post-qualified experience, although candidates with additional experience are also encouraged to apply.

You will ideally have:

• MRICS qualification
• Knowledge of RICS Red Book valuation standards.
• Experience of secured lending / loan security valuations.
• Exposure to residential investment, development or portfolio valuation would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Good knowledge of the London and/or South East residential property market.
• A commercial and client-focused approach.
• An interest in developing your career within a growing specialist valuation team.
