About the Role
Systems Developer
The organisation
Cobalt is partnering with an established property organisation to appoint a Systems Developer to its London-based technology team.
This is an opportunity to join a business investing in its systems and digital capabilities, with exposure extending beyond Dynamics 365 into Power Platform, .NET, APIs, integrations and wider business applications.
The organisation offers a range of benefits including a bonus, private medical cover, pension, further study support, Sharesave scheme, season ticket loan, cycle-to-work scheme, wellbeing initiatives, volunteering days and a birthday day off.
The role and responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Systems Innovation, the Systems Developer will work closely with business users, developers and the wider project team to turn business requirements into effective technical solutions.
You will join during existing technology projects, initially focusing on improving current business processes and rebuilding legacy processes within Dynamics 365. As you develop within the position, you will gain broader ownership across systems, integrations and platforms.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and testing solutions within Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
- Developing and maintaining solutions using .NET and associated technologies.
- Using Power Apps and Power Automate to improve and automate business processes.
- Supporting website, API and application integrations across internal and external systems.
- Working with business users to understand requirements and translate these into technical solutions.
- Maintaining and enhancing systems across test and production environments.
- Working with senior developers and project colleagues to customise integrations between business applications.
- Supporting testing, deployment and documentation to ensure changes follow appropriate development lifecycle and risk processes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve existing systems and processes.
The Systems Developer will have exposure to a broad technology environment, providing the opportunity to deepen your expertise in Dynamics 365 and .NET while developing working knowledge across other platforms and systems.
The skills needed and requirements
We are looking for a Systems Developer with strong working knowledge of Dynamics 365 and .NET development who is interested in expanding their technical capabilities.
You should bring:
- Strong working knowledge of Dynamics 365, including entity and table customisation, forms and view configuration.
- Working knowledge of .NET development and associated technologies.
- Working knowledge of Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Knowledge of programming technologies including C#, JavaScript and JSON.
- An understanding of APIs, integrations and connecting applications across different systems.
- Knowledge of solution deployment processes and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Dataverse, Azure DevOps, Azure Logic Apps or Azure Functions would be beneficial. PL-900 Power Platform Fundamentals or progress towards PL-400 Power Platform Developer would also be advantageous rather than essential.
This Systems Developer opportunity would suit someone who wants to build on their Dynamics 365 and .NET knowledge while gaining exposure to a wider range of technologies, projects and business systems.
If you're looking for a Systems Developer position where you can contribute to existing projects while continuing to develop your technical knowledge, apply now. Interviews are progressing, so early applications are encouraged.
