Our client, a prominent Managing Agent, is seeking an experienced Assistant Building Manager to join their team at an aesthetically pleasing commercial office building, located in a vibrant part of West London. This new development boasts over 250,000 sq. ft of Grade A commercial space. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading real estate company and be a part of a dynamic team responsible for the management and maintenance of an outstanding development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Building Manager in the day-to-day operations of the building, ensuring the smooth running of all facilities and services.

  • Managing relationships with tenants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure a high level of service delivery.

  • Conducting regular inspections of the building to identify any maintenance or repair issues and liaising with the appropriate parties to resolve them in a timely manner.

  • Overseeing and coordinating maintenance, repair, and refurbishment works within the building.

  • Assisting with the preparation and management of the building's service charge budget and ensuring that costs are kept within budgetary constraints.

  • Providing support to the Building Manager in relation to Health and Safety matters, including risk assessments, audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Sound knowledge of building maintenance and repair works, including an understanding of relevant legislation and health and safety requirements.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take ownership of tasks.

  • An IOSH is essential for this position.
