Our client, a prominent Managing Agent, is seeking an experienced Assistant Building Manager to join their team at an aesthetically pleasing commercial office building, located in a vibrant part of West London. This new development boasts over 250,000 sq. ft of Grade A commercial space. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading real estate company and be a part of a dynamic team responsible for the management and maintenance of an outstanding development.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Building Manager in the day-to-day operations of the building, ensuring the smooth running of all facilities and services.
Managing relationships with tenants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure a high level of service delivery.
Conducting regular inspections of the building to identify any maintenance or repair issues and liaising with the appropriate parties to resolve them in a timely manner.
Overseeing and coordinating maintenance, repair, and refurbishment works within the building.
Assisting with the preparation and management of the building's service charge budget and ensuring that costs are kept within budgetary constraints.
Providing support to the Building Manager in relation to Health and Safety matters, including risk assessments, audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Requirements:
Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Sound knowledge of building maintenance and repair works, including an understanding of relevant legislation and health and safety requirements.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
An IOSH is essential for this position.
