We are exclusively partnered with a family-owned propco with offices in Mayfair, who are seeking an Assistant Development Manager to join their team to assist across the planning and development stages of the promotion and disposal of their significant land holdings nationally. With 1000s of acres across the UK, the business assesses its portfolio consistently and submits Local Plan representations to promote parcels of land through the planning process. Once an outline permission is gained, they then partner with numerous housebuilders across the region to phase out the site - currently with this process ongoing with three major sites nationally.

This role is a real, "roll your sleeves up" opportunity, where you can learn from the ground up, with a small highly-skilled of land, development and planning professionals, who want someone to assist on a variety of tasks and seek to progress you in managing developments through in due course, once you have learnt how the business operates. You will have face-time with shareholders, stakeholders and a variety of consultants, and will be given a high level of responsibility, once trusted, and quickly if you work hard.

Your role will involve:

·The strategic land promotion of sites and putting in Local Plan representations.

·Undertaking due diligence, development appraisals and feasibility and viability studies.

·Liaising with colleagues internally as well as managing external consultants.

·Get involved in a variety of daily tasks including site visits, report-writing and

·Assisting senior colleagues with investment and marketing reports, looking at numbers and in future presenting it to the Board.

You will ideally:

·Have a Development or Town Planning degree (ideally RTPI or RICS accredited).

·Have at least two years in a consultancy, or client-side role.

·Excellent communication and written skills.

·Be dedicated, a hard worker and team player.

In reward for the hard work, you will be working on some of the country's major upcoming residential-led schemes, and have a real chance to learn a vast amount about property development and strategic land promotion from an excellent team.

Please apply here or give me (Kate) a call to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible - so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.

If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.
