Due to maternity leave, Cobalt is looking an Assistant Estate Manager on an initial 9-month fixed term contract basis.

The role will see you playing a key part in managing one of the West-End's liveliest estates, at the heart of London's post-covid rejuvenation. A hub of activity, with a multi-million footfall each year, the development is a mix of commercial offices, unique retail and leisure spaces, as well as residential apartments, whilst our client is a name that would stand out on any CV. Whilst initially a contract, our client is anticipating this contract will be extended, whilst as a growing business there will plenty of opportunity for permanent progression.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with providing a top-tier total FM service throughout the estate;

  • Assisting with setting and managing the service charge budget for the development;

  • Managing the work of contractors, taking full autonomy for certain services lines and assisting with others for both hard and soft services;

  • Helping to proactively managing risk throughout the estate, ensuring full compliance with UK health & safety legislation;

  • Overseeing maintenance works to building plant and fabric - both planned and reactive, as well as overseeing CAPEX projects when needed in conjunction with the wider facilities management team;

  • Building relationships with key stakeholders including your client and crucially your customers too.

Our client is looking for a switched-on, forward-thinking, and service-driven Assistant Estate Manager who can draw on their previous experience in assisting with the management of commercial/mixed-use assets. It is essential that you have been part of the team managing an entire building/estate previously (i.e managing the plant room/common areas of a development in addition to tenanted floorspace) whilst an IOSH qualification would be highly advantageous.
