Building Manager

Cobalt is working alongside a prestigious property brand who is looking to hire a Building Manager for a Grade A commercial office development in Manchester city centre. This multi-tenanted asset has recently undergone significant refurbishment works and is looking to provide an FM service to match the high-end specification of the building itself. As such our client is seeking a Building Manager with a modern attitude to work and the ability to blend ESG with solid technical prowess.

Our client is a leading name in UK real estate, and has an enviable track record in taking staff from entry-level through to Director-level positions within their company whilst paying for and supporting your study in further industry qualifications and accreditations.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the effective maintenance of the building plant and fabric, on a planned and reactive basis as well as any minor projects such as fit-outs on occasion;

• Ensuring the building remains fully compliant with UK H&S legislation;

• Providing a top-tier total FM service delivery for your tenants;

• Promoting sustainability wherever possible;

• Line managing the work of on-site staff in addition to managing contractors for both hard and soft service provision;

• Setting and managing the service charge budgets for the building.

Our client is looking for a commercially-savvy, service-orientated Building Manager who has a foundation of experience in managing entire commercial building(s) including common areas. An IOSH is essential.
