Cobalt is once again working closely with one of the world's largest Real Estate investors globally. Due to growth, our client is looking to expand within their Global Services team to support the business and is looking for a proactive Data Research Analyst.
About the role:
Responsible for producing and articulating high-quality client and market insights, to drive focus and inform strategic Investment decisions.
Working as part of the London-based Client Experience and Insights team, responsible for partnering with stakeholders throughout the business. Responsible for producing proactive, actionable insights, ensuring alignment with existing and anticipated investments, as well as client and business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse client needs, competitive dynamics, and the investment context
Proactively provide market intelligence and advise on trends
Analyse investment product offerings and compare to competing products to support positioning strategies
Produce analysis on factors determining where client needs are developing
Analyse data and produce actionable insights to key stakeholders
Develop end-to-end processes
Be an expert in relation to research tools, cultivate relationships with major market intelligence data suppliers
Relationship ownership with sales, product, and investment specialists
Requirements:
Advanced working knowledge of Morningstar Direct, Pregin, Mercer, eVestment, Broadridge GMI, and other market intelligence systems
Experience in the asset management industry, within a market intelligence, client, product, or strategy team
Excellent and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Working knowledge of the asset management industry and key ongoing trends
Ability to prioritise competing priorities, under pressure, and to tight deadlines
Able to manage, automate and interpret large amounts of data intelligently and quickly
CFA or IMC qualification is desired but not essential
