Here at Cobalt, we are representing a leading name in the development consultancy industry, known for their innovative solutions and commitment to excellence. They pride themselves on their dynamic team, big-picture thinking, and a culture that fosters growth and collaboration.

As a Senior, Associate or Director within Development Surveying, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of their company in one of their offices within the North. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the development process, from appraising sites for clients, to strategising over regeneration schemes, and dealing with viability, valuations and agency work - mostly within the public sector realm. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career progression, and you will have the chance to work on high-profile projects that make a real impact across the Northern region.

While I have put "remote" on this role, it is ideally a hybrid role - based out of one of their offices in Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence, feasibility studies, and financial analyses, as well as deal with strategic development advisory.

  • Manage regeneration and development projects across the region, liaising with other key contacts within the project team and the Client.

  • Work on viability, S106 and advisory within affordable housing.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, external stakeholders, and local authorities.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years' experience in development surveying.

  • RICS qualification is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of the UK property development and housing market.

  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ambitious, driven, and a passion for the development sector.

What They Offer:

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

  • Career progression opportunities.

  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.

  • Exposure to diverse and exciting development projects.

  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.

  • Excellent benefits package.
