Electrical Operations Manager

Cobalt are working with a fantastic NHS Trust in Greater Manchester to recruit an interim Electrical Operations Manager for a 12 month contract, paying £190-205 per day LTD rate (inside IR35, via umbrella company), depending on experience.

The successful candidate will have technical, managerial and supervisory control over subordinate staff and specialist contractors. The individual will be able to work within the relative specialities of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Building (predominantly electrical) to ensure planned preventative and reactive maintenance work are aligned with all statutory regulations and legislation.

You will have/be able to:

• Technically qualified in an electrical discipline or equivalent level of experience.

• HNC or Degree in electrical engineering.

• Authorised or test person within areas of specialised knowledge. Examples include: HV and LV electrical systems, ventilation systems and medical gas systems.

• Be responsible for the provision of technical advice and support to other staff, design teams and contractors working for or within the Directorate of Estates and Facilities as appropriate.

• Ensure that planned and reactive maintenance work is completed within designated time spans and meets current legislative requirements.

• Undertake surveys and produce reports with recommendations and costed strategies for resolving the identified problems.

• Liaise with departmental managers and external consultants to collate information to produce detailed specification for tender documentation.
