Cobalt is currently working with a unique residential property developer who focus on creating communities through sustainable and affordable homes for Londoners. They are expanding as a company and are looking to move into new markets, making it an exciting time to join the business.

This newly created role will have split responsibilities supporting both the FP&A and the Treasury Finance Managers. This role is suited to someone studying their ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifications who would like a role with a commercial / analytical focus.

Responsibilities include:

Treasury:

  • Ensure treasury records remain accurate and up to date.

  • Ensure that loan drawdown and repayment cash flows are prepared and assist in monitoring the loan portfolio.

  • Produce and review the monthly cash flows for the Cash Management Meeting, Leadership Team, Executive Team, Committees and Boards as required.

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecast for interest payable and other relevant treasury related income and expense for the group.

  • Providing support to the Senior Treasury Manager during arrangement of new banking or debt capital markets facilities by assist on the funding process across the group, liaising with lenders, solicitors and development. This includes assisting on the Conditions Precedent process for first drawdown from new or existing funding and ensuring KYC is completed.

FP&A:

  • Assisting with the continuous development and maintenance of the Pocket Appraisal model including review and development of outputs, appraisal methodology, model functionality, and user interface

  • Being a key point of contact for users of appraisal models across the business, including troubleshooting, functionality and interpretation of key financial outputs

  • Assisting with development and maintenance of the corporate forecasting model, in particular helping to streamline model methodology, advance KPI reporting and value-add analytical outputs

  • Assist with the annual budgeting process, including long term forecasting and scenario analysis

  • Ad hoc requests requested by shareholders

Requirements:

  • Studying ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualifications is desirable

  • High level of education with good grades

  • Previous experience working in a commercially focused or analytical finance role

  • Previous modelling experience is desirable
