Cobalt are working with a reputable Private Equity Real Estate business, currently seeking a Fund Controller/ Fund Accountant to join the already existing market leading team. Tasked with championing new and existing clients across the UK and Europe, this role will work closely with Senior management internally, as well as key external stakeholders.

Not only will you be responsible for the financial review, but you will also get involved in preparing full sets of accounts, as well as present key data to C level individuals ensuring relationships are kept at their best.

Further duties include:

  • Client relationship manager for a portfolio

  • Team leadership & line management of client service teams

  • Ownership and ultimate responsibility of deliverables

  • Self-sufficient in the ability to deliver successful client services without the need for active supervision

  • Review, management and responsibility for the delivery of ranging tasks within the accounting and administration services including:

    • Bookkeeping for all transactions and activity across a range of funds, SPVs and structure companies

    • Preparation of management accounts & NAVs

    • Production of quarterly investor reports

    • Preparation of VAT data and VAT returns

    • Producing and distributing partnership capital accounts

  • Contribute to the development of the business

  • Support the implementation of strategic changes and update

Experience required:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent

  • Experience working within real estate, private equity or investment management, including preparation of statutory accounts (advantageous but not essential)
