Head of Capital Projects

Cobalt are working with a NHS Trust in London to recruit a permanent Head of Capital Projects, offering an annual salary of £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.

The Trust has a challenging capital programme that needs the Head of Capital Projects to deliver a wide range of capital projects across the trust's estate. Project values range from £500k to up to around £5M and the successful candidate will also manage a team of Capital Project Managers.

You will have the ability to / be:

• Responsible for the commissioning and delivery of capital projects within the capital programme.

• Responsible for benchmarking of standards and, where required, quality assurance in respect of capital costs and programmes.

• Lead on the handover of capital projects to other departments or services within the trust, for example Hard FM, Assets, etc.

• Lead on inputting estates costs into new business bases and bids, including acquisitions, and attendance at any associated meetings.

• Review potential costs to ensure value for money against current standards and rates. Such as service charges, E&F Services Level Agreements (SLAs), etc.

• Work collaboratively with other teams and services across the trust to ensure a joined-up approach and seamless service as part of the senior management team (SMT).

• Chair regular capital meetings with members of the estates team and attending other internal and external meetings representing estates on behalf of the trust.
