Health and Safety Manager - JN73470

Cobalt is working with a leading name in real estate, as they look to welcome a new Health & Safety manager to help proactively manage risk on one of London's premium commercial and retail destinations. You'll be based within a bustling, cosmopolitan estate, where no two days are the same, working as part of a dedicated facilities function with the core aim of providing an unrivalled experience for customers and occupiers within the properties.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a conduit between the on-site FM team you form a crucial part of, and the wider health and safety function of your employer;

• Assessing and analysing H&S policies and procedures in place to ensure they remain fit for purpose;

• Helping to educate and train stakeholders on positive health and safety management, helping to foster a proactive culture and ethos towards compliance;

• Liaising with and working alongside specialist consultants for large scale projects/technical works, in addition to contractors for Fire risk assessments, H&S risk assessments and asbestos management;

• Undertaking annual tenant inspections, and bi-annual fire drills for properties;

• Following up on RIDDOR incidents;

• And other ad hoc duties as may arise from time to time.

Our client is looking for a dedicated H&S with a strong foundation of knowledge in managing health and safety for entire buildings (i.e common areas, and plant rooms, in addition to tenanted areas) whilst it is essential that your knowledge is supported by an IOSH or ideally a NEBOSH qualification.
