Infrastructure Investment Manager

Cobalt are working exclusively with an international infrastructure PE fund to hire an Investment Manager for their office in South Korea.

Our client has developed a leading reputation in the infrastructure space having built a multi-billion dollar and global portfolio of high performing assets. With a strong pool of capital, they are investing heavily into the South Korean renewable energy market with a focus on both green and brownfield investment opportunities and taking majority style stakes.

As the business continues to regularly invest, there is a need to hire an Investment Manager to be involved in the origination and execution of renewable energy investments in South Korea. This is an excellent opportunity for an Investment Banking Associate to join a high calibre team where you will build an impressive investment track record.

The IM will;

  • Report directly to the Head of South Korea and lead the execution of deals whilst supporting with origination efforts.

  • Take responsibility for building financial models from scratch and leading valuations.

  • Lead due diligence efforts whilst overseeing and managing third party advisers.

  • Prepare Investment Committee presentations and memorandums.

  • Regularly interact with investment bankers, developers and industry professionals to generate new opportunities.

  • Be involved in investment and strategy decision making processes, providing your views on opportunities.

  • Work with senior management to develop and implement strategy and operational improvements in portfolio companies.

Interested candidates must;

  • Be currently sitting in an M&A Associate or equivalent position within an international investment bank.

  • Have good exposure to either the infrastructure, industrial or TMT market with an interest in the renewable energy sector.

  • Be currently based in South Korea or open to relocating there.

  • Possess a very strong and all round skill set with the ability to build financial models from scratch.

  • Have proven M&A deal experience.

  • Have excellent communication skill with fluency in both English and Korean.

  • Hold a business, finance or related degree from a highly regarded university.
