Project Manager - Mixed-use Student Accommodation Property Developer

Cobalt Recruitment has the pleasure of working exclusively with a Student-Living focused, prime real estate Investment and Development Company based in London. Backed by an American fund, this business works with 6 leading universities in London and owns and manages 3500 units across 7 developments. With further funding in place, this developer plans to increase their asset base to over 10,000 units by 2025 and therefore are looking to hire a talented Project Manager with solid knowledge of cost management and experience in the residential/co-living sectors.

Reporting into the Head of Development, the successful PM will deliver the development process of a mixture of new build and extensive refurbishment projects from inception through to practical completion; working closely with the development team, operations teams, property managers, finance teams and sales & marketing. You will be tasked with maximising value from sites through feasibility, procurement, contractor management, cost management and on-site delivery. We are looking for a person who will take control and be the point of contact to put forward the questions required to interrogate costs and project plans from a client, investor and end-user perspective.


  • Professional Qualifications - RICS (preferable)

  • Degree qualified; Real Estate, Quantity Surveying, Project or Construction Management

  • Experience in property development with experience on comparable prime real estate

  • Extensive experience and proficiency in managing developments from acquisition through to project completion

  • Cost Management background ideal

  • Excellent communication

  • Proactive, committed and enthusiastic approach


Base Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 pa (negotiable)

Bonus: 30% & LTIP structure
