The Role

Cobalt is seeking to appoint a Recruitment Consultant to our Construction & Engineering Main-Contractor desk.

The Main Contractor desk focuses on placing individuals that specialise in Construction, Commercial Management, Design Management and Engineering disciplines. These individuals are responsible for managing various stages of the construction life cycle across the built environment; from buildings (residential, commercial and education) to Civils, Infrastructure, Nuclear and Rail.

The Main Contractor desk sits withing the wider Construction and Engineering team and benefits from existing strong relationships and PSL agreements in place with Tier 1 & Tier 2 contractors, Real Estate Developers, Building Consultancies, niche Design and Build contractors and House Builders. This warm desk is supported by an extensive network of clients and contacts and crossover through an established team that currently focus on Project Planning, Temporary Works, Site Engineering, Design Management and Construction Management placements.

The desk is structured for the placement of permanent and interim contracts. The interim candidates work on a project basis, whereas permanent candidates are placed for longer term replacement, business growth or long-term business development initiatives,

Joining Cobalt on this desk will require reconnecting with several contacts, establishing new relationships and taking on an existing client base.

A true Consultant is one who can consistently undertake all the following responsibilities:

Business Development, NFI & Business Plan Ownership

Understand a specialist market thoroughly and generate personal NFI from candidate and client management in a 360-degree role. Have a full understanding of the scope and range of services offered by the broader team and business and be able to cross-sell effectively. Understand and contribute to the team's business plan. Be aware of the full competitor, client and candidate landscape.

Account Management

Act as account manager for clients, ensuring that all Cobalt locations, teams and disciplines are involved in order to maximise revenue whilst providing a first-class service.

Terms of Business

Agree and establish commercially viable terms of business with new clients.
