Our client, a private investment office offers investment management services to foundations, pension funds and family offices. They have a global reach with offices in London, the US, Asia and Europe but pride themselves on their entrepreneurial and collegiate culture.

They have recently launched a new Luxembourg based investment fund and are therefore building a team to service its requirements. They have not previously operated an in-house fund so this is an exciting time to join, in a role where the successful candidate can make it their own whilst working closely with other existing areas of the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage relationships with third party service providers (auditors, administrators, custodians, lawyers) in Europe

  • Understand and implement operational requirements for managing Luxembourg based private funds

  • Review and reconcile net asset value (NAV) reporting prepared by the third-party fund administrators

  • Act as a project manager for strategic and tactical operations projects to support the rapidly growing firm, with a focus on developing our Luxembourg based fund business

  • Support the client and research teams through review and analysis of performance reporting and fund data

  • Assist with and oversee private equity and hedge fund operations, including launching new funds annually

  • Manage all pooled vehicle related communications and interactions with the global firm and third party providers. Act as the "information hub" of the organisation

  • Act as a leader and reviewer for the Pooled Vehicle London team. This individual will report into the larger Pooled Vehicle team in the US

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified

  • Degree educated with a 2.1 or higher

  • Experience working within fund accounting or audit, preferably with financial services clients or exposure to Luxembourg funds.

  • Be comfortable with data analysis and strong technical acumen, specifically with Excel

  • Team player who is comfortable working for a small entrepreneurial company.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
