The Role
The role is based in London and will report to the Managing Director and will have the following accountabilities in supporting the real estate investment team:
Reporting & operations
Leading quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting for the REI Europe portfolio including related portfolio data maintenance and oversight
Coordination of annual strategic asset planning process for the real estate investment portfolio
Oversight of equity commitments tracking, capital management, debt management and down-turn readiness schedules
Ad-hoc portfolio analysis to provide insight into portfolio analytics, portfolio evolution pro-forma
Maintain other internal information tracking - such as guarantees & indemnities and directorships
Principal point of contact with Real Assets Strategy and Operations team for recurring or ad hoc enterprise initiatives
Oversight of sustainable investing initiatives for the REI Europe portfolio
Principal point of contact with valuation teams for quarterly valuation reporting
Co-ordination of portfolio year end performance reporting and returns attribution, in collaboration with Real Assets Strategy and Operations team
Management of research and market updates from third party research providers and support on market analytics for strategy papers and sector insights
Over time, the role may include assisting / taking on elements of direct asset management alongside investment professionals
Transaction support
Review/prepare documents for compliance with internal investment processes, administrative procedures and compliance policies
Accurate reporting of transactions within REI internal systems
Transaction closing binder administration and managing post-closing follow ups
Monitoring expenses reconciliation associated with each transaction
Working with external counterparties to ensure ongoing accurate and timely quarterly reporting
The Candidate
Investment management and reporting experience in Europe
Real estate knowledge, including direct, indirect and debt transactions
University degree in relevant field (business, accounting, property, or similar)
Strong financial and analytical skills, detail-oriented with ability to work independently and manage workstreams
Service-focused, with a desire to be a strong partner to investment teams, core services and other stakeholders
Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Inquisitive self-starter, with ability to work in a high performing culture, under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines
Ability to drive co-ordination and project manage amongst multiple stakeholders
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort with learning new applications.
