Senior Town Planner (Renewables), Manchester
£40,000 - £50,000 per annum + negotiable, benefits, bonus

Are you looking for that new challenge or the opportunity to accelerate your career in a collaborative team, with great exposure to a very healthy pipeline of renewable projects? I am working closely with a well-established national consultancy in Manchester, looking for someone to join as a Senior Planner.

​

This close-knit team have delivered on a variety of flagship projects across the country with a reputation for maintaining standards of excellence.

​

You could add a few strings to your bow by also consulting on projects in the residential, commercial and industrial sector with a friendly team, operating on a very flexible basis.

​

You will be involved in (among other responsibilities):

• Managing projects, assisting in delegating and starting to take on leadership role

• Continuing to maintain relationships with clients in providing accurate advice and communicating effectively

• Dealing with pre-apps and manage planning applications through the development process

• Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders and local regularly

• Business development and working up your own client base, or bringing your own

• Attending meetings for Planning Committee, Consultations and similar events in representation of both the Company and clients through the planning process

• Mentoring and helping to manage junior team members

You will ideally:

• Have at least 3 years within planning - ideally in consultancy

• Strong development management skillset and expertise

• Be MRTPI or equivalent

• Be a strong communicator with excellent written work
