Space Planning Manager

Cobalt are working with a NHS Trust in Greater Manchester to recruit an interim Space Manager for an initial 6-12 month contract, paying £150-175 per day LTD rate (inside IR35, via umbrella company).

The successful candidate is responsible for planning, developing and implementing procedures and systems designed to increase the overall effectiveness of accommodation and space management. This role involves all aspects of space utilisation including the identification of surplus or underutilised space, working closely with staff teams to implement change management and complex accommodation moves and changes. The post holder will fulfil the role of project manager for all work necessary to deliver space efficiencies for clinical and non-clinical accommodation.

You will assist the Divisions and Departments with accommodation enquiries ensuring the delivery of projects on time, within budget, to the required standards.

You will have/be:

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification and level of knowledge acquired through experience.

• Additional qualification or equivalent training to post-graduate level or equivalent training to main qualification.

• AutoCAD/Revit Training.

• Extensive experience and track record of project management specific in regards to space planning.

• Experience of producing plans using AutoCAD and/or Revit.

• Knowledge of CDM regulations and their application in a design and construction environment.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Effective communication skills at all levels.
