Cobalt is working with a global Real Estate technology and data company, currently on the lookout for a Talend ETL Developer with Java experience to start as soon as possible. This individual will be working remotely in the first instance.

The business has gone from strength to strength in recent years, particularly in the EMEA region. The global nature of the company has allowed it to take the ongoing changes to the way-we-work in its stride. You will be joining an internationally mobile team with extensive technical knowledge and bundles of industry experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and the maintaining of high volume ETL applications

• Advanced ETL development using Talend Big data platform

• Be a senior technical player on complex ETL development projects

• Lead, design and develop data warehouse solutions using different architecture, design and modelling techniques

• Interact with Release Management, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Architecture Support Database Support, other Development teams and Operations

• Lead and contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle for Enterprise Data applications including current production and any future applications

Person specification:

• Previous experience working within a Senior Talend Developer function with a strong hands-on background managing multiple projects

• Previous hands-on experience working with Java is essential

• Strong experience in Data Quality, Source Systems Analysis, Business Rules Validation, Source Target Mapping Design, Performance Tuning and High-Volume Data Loads.

• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve problems are desired.

• Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet critical deadlines in a rapidly changing environment

• High energy, self-motivation, attention to detail, creativity, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
