About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Resident Services Manager to join a thriving Build to Rent (BTR) community. This role is ideal for someone with proven property experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service within a residential setting. You'll play a key role in supporting the Resident Services Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and outstanding experiences for residents.

The Role

As Assistant Resident Services Manager, you will support the Resident Services Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent service delivery and compliance with safety and property standards. You'll be directly involved in resident engagement, team support, contractor coordination, and maintaining high property standards across the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service through reception, resident communications, parcel handling, inspections, and move-in/move-out processes.

  • Manage team rotas, support the resident services team, and oversee the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

  • Conduct property inspections, liaise with contractors, and ensure health & safety compliance, including fire and water safety checks.

  • Support rental performance by working with lettings colleagues and ensuring minimal void periods.

  • Assist with budgets, reporting, and financial targets, ensuring efficient operational expenditure.

  • Contribute to resident engagement by supporting events and encouraging positive feedback.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous property experience - essential, ideally within Build to Rent, residential, or hospitality environments.

  • Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.

  • Knowledge of health & safety requirements within a residential or property environment.

  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with resilience and adaptability.

  • Experience working towards performance targets.
