About the Role
Cobalt is delighted to be partnering with a leading property brand on a unique opportunity for an Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of a dynamic, mixed-use campus in East London. This site brings together educational institutions, creative businesses, and co-working spaces in a vibrant community setting.
Reporting into the General Manager, you'll play a key role in managing day-to-day FM operations, delivering a high-quality, compliant, and service-led environment for thousands of daily users from a variety of backgrounds, industries, and sectors.
This is a hands-on, site-based role with variety and purpose. You'll build occupiers on all FM matters and work closely with service partners, contractors, and internal teams to maintain building performance, safety, and occupier satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing day-to-day contractor access and monitoring PPM and reactive task delivery
- Ensuring consistent service in shared areas including meeting rooms, reception, and FOH

Supporting statutory compliance activities (e.g., LOLER, fire safety, insurance inspections)

Logging and resolving incidents and maintaining H&S readiness across all documentation

Assisting with service charge invoicing, PO tracking, and supplier coordination
- Overseeing the planned preventative maintenance programmes for both plant and fabric

Supporting key building systems and records management (Sentinel, MS Office)

Covering for the Senior Facilities Manager during periods of leave
Having promoted a number of the on-site team internally, our client is looking for a forward-thinking Facilities Manager to invest in over the long term. With the growth plans on-site, this role would suit an Assistant Facilities/Estate Manager looking to cement their step up to the FM level, or a Facilities Manager looking for a more vibrant, progressive environment to develop their professional skillset within.
You'll be IOSH qualified, and comfortable performing in a Total FM environment, with prior experience of managing common parts of buildings. A track record in contractor management for hard and soft services is a requirement of this role as is a proactive, service-led approach and proven experience managing operations.
You'll need excellent communication skills, sound operational judgment, and a passion for ensuring high standards across the estate, from plant rooms to public realm.
