Based in London the successful applicant will be a key contributor to scaling the European RE business and will be actively involved in the analysis and execution of new investments, engaged in day-to-day portfolio and asset management of the existing European portfolio, and global business development initiatives. This will provide broad exposure across multiple real estate sectors and geographies.
The Role:
- Independently build and maintain detailed financial models to analyse opportunity
- Examine Joint Ventures, club deals and other investment
- Independently conduct research on property sectors and lead qualitative and quantitative analysis of broader work streams
- Take an active role in the selection, evaluation and on-going monitoring of relationships and investments
- Drive the underwriting process of real estate investments and ensure model accuracy
- Coordinate closing activities internally and externally
- Coordinate and draft investment memos and strategy papers to be presented to the investment committee
- Take an active role in the monitoring and management of the investments
- Manage and prepare quantitative analysis of portfolio and asset business plans
The Candidate:
- Relevant experience in principal investing, corporate finance and/or M&A at a leading investment banking, consulting firm or asset manager with a focus on real estate
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written as well as verbally in English) with an ability to build working relationships internally and externally
- Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and initiative
- Demonstrate deep interest in the real estate sector and for principal investing
- Understanding of real estate valuation and investment appraisal techniques is essential
- European foreign language skills and educational/working experience in one of our target Continental European markets is an asset
- Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office
