Cobalt is working with one of the UK's fast-growing property developers and investors, currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. Not only will this role be a key point of contact within the organisation, there will also be a large focus on process improvement, as well as senior stakeholder management.
Tasked with preparing the management accounts for the various development projects, you will also work closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Director on other adhoc duties.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
Production of monthly / quarterly management accounts and detailed reporting packages across the business and underlying investments
Cash management & forecasting, including preparing and submitting bank drawdown in a timely manner
Preparing returns and data for all tax compliance (including VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax) and bank loan compliance
Preparation of statutory annual financial statements and control of the year‐end audit process within a strict timeframe
Prepare supporting schedules to the financial statements
Liaise with the external auditors and handle audit queries
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Respond to information requests and ad hoc queries from JV Partners
Key requirements
ACA/ACCA/ CIMA Qualified or Part-Qualified/ Finalist
Knowledge & experience of accounting within real estate/ private equity is preferable
Hands on approach with excellent attention to detail combined with strong IT, organisational and time management skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to prepare a full set of management accounts including profit & loss and balance sheet
Sage 300 experience
Ambitious and motivated - both individually and for the team and business as a whole
Ability to work effectively as part of a growing and high‐performing team
Experience of process improvements, taking onboard other peoples needs and input.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
