Cobalt are working with a NHS Trust in Essex to recruit an interim Senior Capital Project Manager for an initial 6-12 month contract, paying £275-£300 per day LTD rate (inside IR35, via umbrella company).
The successful candidate is critical in the implementation of the NHS Trust and the wider STP broad portfolio of organisational transformation, through the delivery of all estates related capital investment that underpins the trust's shared strategy across clinical, clinical support and cooperate services. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of an extensive and complete programme of new and remodelled estates infrastructure, within the NHS Trust and across the whole STP.
The post holder will manage projects in a diverse capital programme as part of a multi-year portfolio of projects, with a value of c. £200m to £300m over the next five years. Projects range from minor works and backlog investment projects to major schemes of potentially £10m to £50m.

Creation of Respiratory ward
Various remodelling / refurbishment schemes

You will have/be:
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Building Services/Construction
Project Management Qualification e.g. MSP, Prince 2 or equivalent experience
Specialist knowledge backed by extensive experience in the delivery of complex programmes of estates capital investment
Ability to develop good working relationships with stakeholders both internal and external to the NHS Trust and STP
Previous experience of estates project management in the NHS or equivalent complex organisation
Extensive knowledge of the strategic approaches to construction project delivery in the public sector for example the use of frameworks, partnering, PFI, LIFT and P22
Good communication skills
Ability to seek out new and innovative ways of delivering programmes of work
