The Role
As a Surveyor/Senior Surveyor within the Asset & Property Management division, you'll deliver comprehensive management services across a varied portfolio that includes multi-let industrial estates, office buildings, retail, leisure, and mixed-use properties. The role blends asset management, property management, and facilities management - offering excellent exposure across the full property lifecycle.
You'll work closely with clients to provide proactive advice that drives performance and enhances investment returns, supported by a team of skilled professionals and robust internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of asset and property management, ensuring all client requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
- Manage landlord and tenant matters including lease renewals, rent reviews, assignments, alterations, and sublettings.
- Prepare, monitor, and reconcile annual service charge budgets in collaboration with client accountants.
- Support rent and service charge collection processes, ensuring strong financial control.
- Supervise and mentor junior surveyors, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across managed portfolios.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, and suppliers.
- Provide analytical, data-driven insights to optimise property performance.
- Liaise with other internal teams for related services such as dilapidations, valuations, cost consultancy, and lettings.
Requirements
- RICS-accredited degree and MRICS qualification with two to three years' PQE preferred.
- Strong understanding of Landlord & Tenant legislation and experience handling rent reviews and lease renewals.
- Knowledge of facilities management (hard and soft services) and service charge management.
- Familiarity with property management software such as QUBE, TRAMPS, or Planet FM advantageous.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
- A proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach to work.
